Houston schools closed after boil water notice issued for city
BOULDER — Boulder is closed down for the weekend after a boil water advisory was issued for the city last week.
Schools, city offices and day care centers that are closed for the weekend have been told to stay closed as well.
Boulder Water Resources and the Colorado Department of Health Services issued the boil water notice for the city last week, which is due to surface water contamination in a treatment plant for tap water supplies. The state has had a boil water advisory in effect since early in March.
The following school districts have had their opening or closing times extended for the weekend due to the closure:
Boulder Creek Elementary School: All day, Thursday, March 20 – Friday, March 21Boulder Creek Elementary School will be closed for the rest of the day Friday, March 21 due to a boil water advisory issued by the Colorado Department of Health Services, the district announced.
Boulder Creek is closed for the remainder of school district business Friday, March 21, according to a message on the district’s website.

East High School: All day, Thursday, March 20 – Friday, March 21 East High School will be closed for the rest of the day Thursday, March 20 due to a boil water advisory issued by the Colorado Department of Health Services, the district announced.
