The singer, who was in a relationship with actor Jeremy Irons, died from heart failure Monday in a Parisian hospital.
In a statement read over the phone by his manager, Mikaben had said: ‘I’ve had a wonderful life.
‘This is a time for me to come to terms with my life and accept the reality of where my life has taken me in the last few weeks.’

The singer had been seen on screen before as a young boy, in the 1998 BBC TV drama Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and in the 2005 film The Full Monty. He had made his first stage appearance in 1997 on the West End as a schoolboy, appearing in London’s West End production of Fiddler on the Roof.
He had then appeared in a wide variety of theatre shows, including the 1997 BBC TV drama Harry’s Game and in the 2003 and 2006 Royal Womens Shakespeare Company productions of The Baker’s Wife at the Barbican and The Taming of the Shrew at the Barbican.
